CORTINA

"There is no beginning, and no end. Water cycles." I gave form to the cycle of water as circle by converging the spout and handle of kettle. Watched from the front, it is circular, but watched from the side, we can see that it is distorted. I suggest the concept of not literal convergence, but design convergence as distorted form. I selected the material of kettle whose heat is not conducted up to the handle. To use environment-friendly one, I avoided rubber.

Flavoured Flints

“Flavoured flints” is a collection of differents food tools made by conglomerates of salt and sugar with added dried extracts of flavour-enhancing fruits, obtained by cryogrinding. Spices, herbs, mushrooms, vegetables, and fruits are included in the ingredients. The flints prompt consumers to season their meals using ancestral techniques : rubbing the two volumes, as big as your fist and faceted, against each other. By choosing to use differents flints, it becomes possible to combine all sorts of flavours.

Satellite

Satellite is an all-in-one grater with multiple knives stored inside. Through its expanding form, it opens up and enables grating and shredding directly into bowl or plate. Satellite's wings are designed to clip on dishware with multiple teeth. Fitting in a compact package, it is designed as a space-saving utensil for contemporary kitchens. With changeable stainless steel plates, Satellite enables grating in desired size and shape. Being washable, plates also offer hygiene, where silicone topper enables an ergonomic grasp. Various colors offer a joyful kitchen utensil.

Flame

Flame is a sustainable kettle that is produced from %100 recyclable materials without any plastic usage. Originating in traditional copper-kettles, design combines copper and stainless steel in a harmonic way and parts are fit together without requiring a joining process. Combining a contemporary style with local and cultural elements, it matches perfectly with modern elegant kitchens. Material selection also reflects the sensitivity on the taste of water. Also heat conduction is more efficient with copper, therefore energy is preserved with reduced boiling time.
