teapotmug

Inspired from the tea-loving commonality between Japanese and British cultures, this multi-purpose ‘mug teapot’ uses ceramic’s natural property of insulation and extends its capabilities with the design addition of the tea-light module: Using a traditional kitchenware material with a modern twist. Having no handle the teapot reduces its use of space in the cupboard as well as it enhances its simple and minimal look. Rising Shell

The Rising shell is a reflection on nature its pure logic and honesty that can be found in many constructions. This can be achieved by giving the object an opportunity to shape itself for the function it has. By only making incisions in the wooden materials, its true nature gets revealed as a functional bowl. The transformation, made possible by rubber technology, leads to an interaction between the final user and the used object. If the Rising Shell is not being used, it can be seamlessly folded back, only to have it open and rise up like a budding flower when it is needed again.
