Bonsai is a glass mug designed for warm beverages. The body follows flame-inspired contours, and the handle is shaped to match the natural curve of the hand for a comfortable and secure grip. The mug is made from soda-lime glass, a durable material that resists temperature change and can be recycled repeatedly. The glasses are produced from soda lime glass with an automatic press machine. The wall thickness of the wavy surfaces was optimized for mass production. Govy is a ceramic tableware collection made through layered clay construction. Thin clay slabs are laminated and compressed so that wood grain patterns emerge from within the material instead of being applied as surface decoration. More than fifty clay bodies were tested for color harmony and shrinkage during firing. The collection includes mugs, bowls and plates in four wood tone colors.

Duali's concept with the Clay and Sway mug was to create a dialogue between two opposing yet harmonious elements, the cool, rigid permanence of porcelain (clay) with soft, dynamic movement of tassels (sway). The challenge was to design an object that would not just sit on the table but live on it. An exploration of how a static object can be imbued with a sense of life. The hand splattered ink pattern on the mug ensures no two mugs are ever identical. The tassels are then hand-tied into the drilled apertures to ensure a clean and honest connection between the two materials.
